The Pan America 1250 (RA1250) is Harley-Davidson’s first adventure model. The engine installed is a water-cooled V-twin engine with a displacement of 1,252cc, a V-bank angle of 60 °, and a DOHC 4-valve big bore x short stroke “Revolutiu on Max 1250”. By widening the bank angle beyond the 45 ° of the cruiser model, the downdraft throttle body for each cylinder can be accommodated, and the balancer is built in to reduce engine vibration. The maximum output, which was 145ps in the prototype, was 152ps in the commercial model. In addition, two types of commercial models, a standard type and a high-end specification (Pan america special).
