Honda Adv 150 was launched by Honda motorcycle manufacturers in July 2019. This bike is mass producted in Indonesia, and exported to worldwide.
Honda adv 150 is an automatic motor with CVT with a 150cc engine capacity. ADV here stands for advance and not adventure.
However, the bike design has the characteristics of an adveneture motorcycle. such as wide handlebars, front tires are wider than the rear and high seat is higher than other motorcycle. Honda also noted the first time to issue a motorcycle with a design like this in the 150cc class.
Look at to the name of adv, of course we will immediately remember honda X-ADV that is another Honda motorcycle with a 750cc engine capacity. indeed, the adv 150 is a direct descendant of the honda x adv 750. as like as there are cbr1000rr-r fireblade which have small versions 250cc and 150 cc.
As well as the Honda X ADV which has a small version which is adv 150. the design is not much difference. it’s just different on the swingarm side, and the front shock. and of course different engine capacities.
Besides that also if x adv uses automatic DCT engine (dual clutch transmission) then adv 150 uses CVT.
Honda adv 150 engine common part with honda pcx 150 engine and vario 150. although the same engine, there are differences in power and torque between these three engines.
Honda adv 150 was setting to chasing more torque at lower rpm according to the purpose of this motorbike that is used in the semi offroad terrain. adv 150 is capable of producing torque of 13.8 nm at 6500 rpm and power of 14.5 ps at 8500 rpm.
What is special about this motorbike is its highly qualified suspension for the semi offroad terrain and 150cc matic motor class. The suspension has a very long travel which is 130mm for the front fork. while the rear has 120mm travel. This suspension is produced by famous vendor Showa.
One thing that might be a weakness of this bike is a matter of vehicle weight. the weight of the Honda adv 150 reaches 132 kg for the non abs version and 133 kg for the abs version. Indeed, there are many more adventurous motorbikes which is weight more, but if you calculate the power to weight ratio of this bike so that it is too heavy with a 150cc engine size.
